Slinky, designed and manufactured by Colebrook Bosson Saunders, is a high-capacity cable management system made of plastic vertabrae built around a flexible spine. Each vertebrae has four separate compartments enabling power, data, and voice cables to be segregated. Slinky can easily be attached to the underside of a desk (with a simple screw fixing or alternative fixings to suit virtually any type of furniture). From here all cables can be neatly and securely run through the Slinky spine and down to the ground where a cast steel base anchors everything securely to the floor. Slinky is available in translucent or black in three different lengths: 740mm, 1200mm, and 1500mm. Made from polycarbonate, Slinky is probably the most robust product of its type on the market.

Slinky can play a significant role in reducing Health and Safety risks in the workplace: with cables clearly defined and separated there's no longer a need for kneeling and awkward reaching beneath the desk, struggling to locate the appropriate cable to be disconnected and replaced. Trip and catch hazards can minimised too, with cables tucked neatly away. Slinky promotes more efficient and easier maintenance of IT equipment and with cables neatly harnessed in place, work areas become easier to manage. Slinky simply helps to avoid the mass of tangles that can cause confusion and annoyance to both users of IT equipment and IT support staff.

As part of Colebrook Bosson Saunders' continuous programme of product improvement a new and improved version of Slinky has been introduced for 2009 with a superior  quality of detailing and finish. The latest version has increased cable capacity which can accommodate large diameter flexible metal conduit. Greater consideration has been given to delivery and installation: Slinky's packaging has been reduced by almost 50 percent and 'snap-together' construction permits easier installation.
