Firstly, on behalf of all at CBS we hope you are doing as well as can be expected in the current environment. We value all of our relationships so do let us know how things are going and if we can help.
A quick update on CBS – the wellbeing of our team, families and our wider network of dealers, customers and suppliers remains our priority.
With this in mind, we closed our premises in Union Street on Wednesday afternoon. With minimal impact we can actually run our business remotely and “virtually”. It’s early days but the team have embraced the challenge and everybody and everything is working. We held a whole team meeting with 75 people on Skype last week which was uplifting and reassuring.
In terms of our continuing to support you, we are open for business as usual. Our manufacturing partners have worked wonders to ensure continuity of supply. We have had challenges with our Lima product but these are being resolved and the production line is running. Extended lead times remain on this product. But we have most other products in stock. Our UK warehouse which also serves Europe, is outside of London and remains open. Some different working practices to protect our team but no impact on our ability to supply.
We have well established logistical partners and as of now product is being shipped into all of our European locations. Freight appears to be moving between Countries so we anticipate meeting our commitments. One or two customers have asked for their orders to be brought forward in case of future delays. Please contact us if you would like to do this and we will aim to accommodate you.
